Dear Friend,
In Romans, Paul writes, “How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent?”
Our mission and passion at Truth For Life is to preach the Gospel, making Christ known to those who have never heard and strengthening those who’ve heard and believe.
It is a mystery how the Spirit moves, but God has ordained preaching as the chosen method of communication by which He opens blind eyes and softens hard hearts, bringing people to an awareness of His grace. In the hearing of His Word as He has given it to us in Scripture, conversion happens, not as the result of human persuasion but as a manifestation of divine revelation.
Charles Spurgeon wrote, “The revealed Word awakened me; but it was the preached Word that saved me.”
Through the preaching of His Word on Truth For Life, God speaks into hearts around the world, converting unbelievers, establishing believers in their faith, and strengthening local churches.
Your partnership plays an essential role. When Paul writes, “And how are they to preach unless they are sent?” it is your giving and prayer that makes the “sending” through Truth For Life possible!
Through our teaching, the Gospel reaches people across the nations—both those intentionally searching in whatever channel they choose and those not searching at all! We regularly hear from people who inadvertently stumbled upon our program on the radio or our video “The Man on the Middle Cross” on YouTube. They began listening, and through what appeared to be a “random” encounter (but was, of course, no accident in God’s providence), they came to saving faith in Christ.
We all play a role. We preach, you send, and God saves!
Your participation in Truth For Life is essential. As we approach year-end—a time when we rely heavily on your support to prepare for another year of Gospel outreach—I kindly ask you to give as you are able.
With my love in the Lord Jesus,
Alistair
