This edition of the ESV Bible takes you through the entire New Testament in one year through a series of short daily readings. Each day, you’ll read two passages: one from the first half of the New Testament (Matthew through Acts) and another from the second half (Romans through Revelation). There’s also a short passage from the Psalms to consider each day. At the end of each Scripture reading, you’ll benefit from a thoughtful reflection to help you understand how the passage points to Jesus and how to apply what you’ve read to your daily life. You’ll also benefit from a brief thought at the end of each day’s reading for you to consider as you pray.

This book is highly recommended by Alistair; it’s one that he makes available for free to everyone who visits Parkside Church. In this new edition, he even wrote the foreword, explaining,

> There are all kinds of devotional aids for which we have reason to be thankful. However, nothing can or should take the place of the regular, systematic reading of the Bible, which contains everything necessary for salvation. So let me commend this volume as a vital help in learning and living as a Christian.

Designed to facilitate a regular pattern of learning from God’s Word, the *Daily Devotional New Testament* will take you through the New Testament by the end of the year in just fifteen minutes each day.

If you’re new to reading the Bible or you’d like to be more consistent in your Bible reading as you begin a new year, this devotional will make it very easy to get started.
